How to Delete an Organizational Unit
Overview
This guide explains how to delete an existing organizational unit in the Organogram Workspace Admin platform, including locating the unit and deleting its profile to reflect organizational changes.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Organogram Workspace Admin platform
- Knowledge of the organizational unit to be deleted
When You Need This

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access the Organizational Unit Management Section
- Log into your Organogram Workspace Admin platform at
admin.organogram.app
- In the left sidebar, Click Directory > "Organizational Units" to navigate to the organizational unit list page
Step 2: Locate the Organizational Unit
- On the Organizational Units page, find the unit you need to delete
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the unit’s row to open the menu and select 'Delete'.
Step 3: Confirm Deletion
- Ensure the correct unit is selected
- Click on "Delete" to open a confirmation dialog box with a warning about deleting the unit
Step 4: Delete the Organizational Unit
- In the confirmation dialog, click the red "Yes" button to proceed with deletion
- A notification will pop up saying "Unit Successfully Deleted"
- The system will process the deletion and remove the unit’s profile
- The dialog will close automatically upon successful deletion
Step 5: Verify Unit Deletion
- You'll be returned to the main Organizational Units page
- The deleted unit should no longer appear in the unit list
What You'll See After Deleting
- The unit will be removed from the unit directory
- The unit count in your system will decrease
- Any child units or user assignments may be updated based on the system’s hierarchy rules
- Unit table reflects the updated list without the deleted unit
- Add button remains available for creating additional units
